Run by Low Carbon Kent network at Kent County Council.

Come to this free event to help improve your business’ environmental performance.

The Steps To Environmental Management (STEM) scheme can help your business to build an environmental management system aligned with the requirements of ISO 14001, or redesign an existing system using provided tools and templates. There are three levels of the scheme – Blue, Silver and Gold, each building upon the last to help you progress at your own speed.

The scheme has been recently updated and changed to reflect the changes to the ISO14001 standard for environmental management.

Attending this free STEM Blue workshop will help you understand and develop the following topics for yourself:

  • Management Commitment
  • Context
  • Baseline Assessment
  • Environmental Aspects & Impacts
  • Draft Environmental Policy
  • Data Collection

Engaging in the scheme can help you:

  • Enhance your green credentials
  • Help you achieve nationally recognised accreditations such as Carbon Trust Standard, BS 8555 and ISO 14001
  • Help you to comply with the law
  • Save your business money by removing inefficiencies

As well as the workshop being free to attend, lunch and refreshments are provided free of charge to attendees.

This event is fully funded through the Low Carbon Across the South East (LoCASE) programme.
